    Fresh ruby grapefruits and galaxy hops. It’s sour, bitter, fruity and pink. Basically, it's perfect. 

    Inspired by one abundant grapefruit tree in our friend's yard - we juiced those giant ruby jewels and blended with the bitter herb, hops. Galaxy hops to be specific, known for its passionfruity flavour and calming action on the nervous system. Hops are best known for flavouring beer but have a long history of use in herbal medicine too. 

    Traditionally, shrubs were used as a way of preserving fruit at the height of the harvest. Limited edition, seasonal shrubs are a way for us to keep this tradition alive.

    Benefits

    Grapefruit is bringing the vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium and antioxidants to this delightful spritz.

    Hops have been used for hundreds of years to support bile production, and help with insomnia and anxiety.

    How to use

    Mix 35ml of shrub with 200ml of sparkling water or soda water and ice for a delightfully bitter, slightly tangy botanical soda.

    Ingredients

    Organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother of course), Local fresh ruby grapefruit, local sugar and Australian grown galaxy hops.

    I'm very ignorant of Galaxy Hops

    I'm very ignorant of Galaxy Hops. But I love grapefruit, and I feel like the hops are softening the grapefruit potential in this shrub. Still an absolute delight, but quite a challenge to explain.

    Absolutely delicious

    This is my favourite shrub. I love it with sparkling water. It is so refreshing and feels a bit special if I want something besides just water and don't want alcohol. I don't drink soft drink, so this is the perfect replacement. You can really taste the grapefruit, which is why I love it so much, but it isn't bitter.

    I have a number of favourites in this wonderful collection but this Ruby Grapefruit is my absolute fave. Excellent product, esp in the recent hot weather…who needs alcohol when you can have a spritz that tastes this good!

    Great Lemon, Lime & Bitters style shrub

    This shrub has a full flavour thanks to the great ruby grapefruits, but the subtle, clean bitterness of the hops really finishes it off well. It's refreshing and invigorating, like a good Lemon, Lime & Bitters.
