Last summer, when the watermelons were sweet and the mangos were perfectly ripe, we bottled their abundance to enjoy later.

Long before supermarkets stocked every fruit year-round, Shrub making was a way of preserving the harvest, bringing the flavours and nutrients of one season into the next. 

As we approach the Winter Solstice and the longest night of the year, we're celebrating with traditionally preserved bottles of summer.
